Newborn Photos are my Happy Place!

Arrrr my secret is out!! I absolutely adore photographing newborn babies! I have loved it since the first newborn I ever photographed nearly 8 years ago!! (and I am so blessed that I still get to see her grow up!!) There is absolutely nothing better than newborn cuddles!! I always look into their little faces and imagine the life they have in front of them, the places they will go and the things they will see and do! I wonder what job they will have, and what amazing contribution they will bring to humanity! I wonder about the future and what amazing things they will do that we can't even dream of right now! But mostly, I just look at their little personality, their unique characteristics and things that make them special, then I find a way to capture that.

Tiny flakes of skin that once upon a time I would painstakingly photoshop out, I now embrace!! I cherish!! This is a once in a lifetime thing that will be gone within a matter of days!! It needs to be recorded and treasured!! Same with the finger shape and fingernail shape! Each one is unique to the child and usually reflects one of babies parents or grandparents. Even at such a young age, parents have spent so much time admiring their new best friend that they can tell you where every single characteristic originates from. That's my mother's nose and his grandfather's toes!! This makes my heart so happy!

Although the majority of our newborn sessions are done in our beautiful brand new Flagstone Studio, if there is a reason you can't come to the studio, I will bring the studio to you!! We can get images of your brand new family in your home that you brought baby back to! You never know, you might not be in that home in a couple of years and these photos will be there to treasure from babies first home.

All of the props, blankets, hats, wraps and headbands are provided by me, but if there is something in particular that you would love to include, just let me know in advance and we can absolutely add it to your session! I believe that these photos are for your walls and should reflect your taste and decor.

And of course, all your family are included free of charge in the newborn photoshoot! I believe it is so important to capture you all together, not just for you to look at, but for your new baby as well. They will look back on these photos in years to come and marvel at how you all looked and how their sister and brother were smaller than mum and dad!! :) These photos are for you now, but are for your future ultimately!
